Honeymooners in Paradise

Our honeymoon was just pure bliss! I loved that we were able to just spend time as the new Mr. & Mrs.
We went to Hawaii and spent 7 amazing days together on Oahu.

Our honeymoon started off a bit rocky when we flew into Honolulu (after a 19 hour flying/layover day) at midnight and stood at the bag carousel and waited. and waited….. aaaand waited…. welp we made it to Hawaii but our bags didn't…
So our first night in Hawaii was spent going to Wal-mart at 1AM to get tooth brushes… so romantic! no change of clothes… no change of underwear (ew). no swimsuits. nothing.
but at 4pm the next day our bags FINALLY arrived. longest day of my life.

After that little delay in our trip it was smooth sailing from there! everything was just perfect!

It was a week full of laying at the beach, snorkeling, eating, pearl harbor, polynesian culture center, temple, more eating, exploring sights, and more laying out at the beach.

^^when you're on your honeymoon you learn to take a lot of selfies/awkward pics by yourself. we got pretty good at it by the end.

^^ does it look like we've been wearing those clothes for 2 days… cause we did… with no swimsuits to go to the beach we decided to do pearl harbor instead.

^^ my breakfast almost every morning. coconut yogurt, toast with guava jam, pineapple and dried fruit. I could NOT get enough lih hing mui powder.

^^ if you're ever in Hawaii you NEED to go to the Shorebirds restaurant. It's the cutest restaurant on the beach that is buffet style. You pick your choice of meat. They bring it to you raw and you get to take it to the grill and grill it yourself. we had SO much fun!

^^ Leonard's bakery is a MUST stop for malasadas. the yummiest donuts you will ever eat. We got one of each flavor just to try them all!

^^ Giovanni's Shrimp Truck is also a MUST. the lines are long but they are oh so worth it! the best shrimp we have ever had! we couldn't stop talking about it even days after!

^^ that's my squirrel husband heading face first into the ocean. so proud.

^^hello sunburns. aaaand carson is expecting apparently...

^^ he just melts my heart!

^^watching sunsets on Sunset Beach… how ironic

^^ carson's attempt at making it look like I was wearing the China Man's hat.. ummm good job honey..

^^ stadium flee market. GO. best spot for soavies… also apparently peace signs were our thing. awkward asian tourist posing.

^^ but that view…

I now know why they call Hawaii paradise. and we WILL be going back for our 6 months anniversary.. we just have to convince Carson it's ok first…

Aloha!
